  • ByteDance set aside MYR10 billion ($2.13 billion) to establish Malaysia as an AI hub and boost the technology’s developments in the country, on top of an additional MYR1.5 billion investment targeting the expansion of its local data centres.
  • Google has announced that it will invest $2bn in Malaysia to establish its first data centre and “cloud region” in the Southeast Asian country.
  • Microsoft announced it will invest US$2.2 billion over the next four years to support Malaysia’s digital transformation – the single largest investment in its 32-year history in the country.
